Carousel Birthday – Under the Big Top

Carousel Birthday

This is another card done using Carousel Birthday. In the Stampin’Up Occasions Catalogue there is a picture of this card. I totally CASED it! It’s such a simple card, and yet so cute. Problem is, I couldn’t tell how they made it from the picture, so I did my own interpretation. Could very easily be the same thing, but that is the beauty of card making. I AM NOT a creative person believe it or not. I am not able to come up with many exclusive designs, so thankfully we have easy access to “GOOGLE”. I just put in the name Stampin Up ___________ (and then insert the name of the stamp set), choose images, and TA DA, there you go. I go to the cards that grab my eye, and make it. A lot of times I may tweak it, or use different colours, however why work harder than you have to at coming up with your own ideas?

For this card I just used an 8-1/2″ x 11″ Whisper White Cardstock and folded it in half.  Then I cut out another piece of Whisper White Cardstock 5-1/4″ x 4″ and stamped the greeting directly on it using Cherry Cobbler Ink. On a scrap piece of white, I stamped the Big Top Tent in Bermuda Bay ink, and then cut out. I added different colour bakers twine. Of course to tie in the colours I used 2 of the same colours that I used in ink. So Cherry Cobbler, Bermuda Bay and Crushed Curry Bakers Twine. I used dimensionals to adhere the tent just above the greetings, and once again used dimensionals to pop up this whole completed piece onto front of folded card. How EASY was that?
